27 July 2008 - Comic #234

I guess this one needs a bit of explaining: Apparently, one day no more pictures were displayed on Tarrin's blog, so he assumed that the site had been hacked ("piraté" in French). If you were looking at the site using Internet Explorer, instead of images you'd see lots of little crosses, hence the "Long live the little crosses!".
It seems what really happened was that Tarrin's free.fr-account was suspended by accident.

9 July 2008 - Comic #233

Some info before you read the following comic: About a month before Tarrin posted this comic, he said on his blog that he wanted to adopt a cat. (I skipped that entry because there was no comic to translate.)

Original post: Mourir d'ennui

5 July 2008 - Comic #232

The title of the post translates to "Every summer, the Lemur goes to a different heaven...", a reference to the time in 2007 when Tarrin closed his blog for two months. Also, it's Tarrin's way to notify his readers that he'll go on vacation for a bit.

This is the first page of the first Maki comic. The series is called "Un cœur de lémurien" ("A lemur's heart"). It was first published in Spirou magazine #3668 and later appeared in Tarrin's book Le parcours d'un Puceau on page 5-6.

14 June 2008 - Comic #230

"(coming up in the magazine in late June)
Note: (For once) this is not an autobiographical series"

I assume that's part of the two-page comic that appeared in Spirou magazine #3664.

3 June 2008 - Comic #227

"[THE AUCTION IS OVER (268 Euros)]

A sheet of dedicated stamps put up for auction for Inavem.

The BDE-Bulle d’Encre association is auctioning an autographed sheet of stamps
and an original drawing (the Lemur and Spirou).
The auction will be up for 10 days. The starting price is 1€.

The BDE-Bulle d’Encre association started a collection of comic stamps in early 2008.
Following the success of the first charity auction that brought
€ 114 for the Aide et Action association, it was decided to repeat the event.
After Laurel, Fabrice Tarrin was entrusted with the task of creating a stamp."

"On an unrelated note:
Does one of my friends have
"journal intime de Florence Eva"?
Fred needs it quickly.
(Please post any clues or leads)"

I assume Tarrin is asking for a copy of the French movie Journal intime d'une jeune fille en chaleur.

These are the first two pages of a three-page comic that was published in Spirou magazine #3661 on 11 June 2008. It was one of two comics that were published under the name "Le Lémurien". (The other one was a two-page comic published in #3664.) Tarrin posted only a few panels of this comic on his blog. However, I happen to have scans of that Spirou issue, so I decided to post the whole comic here. (I don't have scans of the second one though.) I hope Monsieur Tarrin won't mind.
I'll post the last page tomorrow.

The postcard above is a card Cyril sent to Tarrin from the Canaries. The text reads:

"Hey Fabrice
Thanks a lot for your comic. It's awesome. Good thing I was in Montpellier at the time you drew it. Come to Tenerife whenever you like so we can party. (I'll be here → May) See you soon, big brother.

"Well, I kept it up for only two days, but...
I decided to reopen the comment section!

About the sentences above the comic: Two days before Tarrin posted this comic, he closed the comment section on his blog because he was getting tired of people writing stuff like "first", "lol" etc.

"Read the beginning of the story HERE."

This comic was also published in Charlotte Gainsbourg mon amour  on page 37-38. Interestingly, Tarrin made a little change to the comic in the book. In the first panel of the comic from his blog, the date on the letter is 14 January 1985. In the book, it's 11 March 1986 for some reason.

Those three covers were drawn by Tarrin when he was 13. There is no comic though. He drew only the covers.
